*Secret Families Christmas Charity is a locally based program coordinated by the Holdren family in partnership with Toyota of Muncie and Meijer of Muncie. Since 2004 they have been purchasing, wrapping, and delivering presents to families in need as identified by local school principals throughout Delaware and Randolph counties. This year they are projecting to bring a joyful holiday to 44 local families. If you have an interest in donating your time, all are welcome to join in the major shopping, wrapping, and delivering day on Saturday, December 5th. What if you had $10 and a ton of bills to pay?

Spend 2 ½ hours role-playing the life of someone living in poverty and find out. Can you win the game? Is it really a game? Do people we serve every day really experience this kind of chaos and frustration?

Be part of the simulation sponsored by Delaware County and the City of Muncie, funded by grants from the Ball Brothers Foundation and the Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County. This event will be one of 50 simulations that have already reached more than 3,500 Muncie residents.

We’ll assign your location (Macy’s, Sears, or JCPenney). Plan to sing, dress in costume, play instruments, or just ring and smile!

There are two 2-hour shifts and you can sign up to help at one or both: 10am-12pm, 12-2pm

Give Thanks by Giving Back

feedsheepFeed My Sheep – Wednesday, November 26 at Central High School

MYPG will once again participate in Feed My Sheep, an annual gathering of volunteers who work to ensure that everyone in our community has access to a Thanksgiving dinner.

Volunteers are needed to help with the bagging of canned and non-perishable foods and also preparing food for serving on Thanksgiving Day.

There are three 2-hour shifts and you can sign up to help at any one or all three: 4-6pm, 6-8pm, 8-10pm.
