The mission of the Muncie Young Professionals Group (MYPG) is to provide social and professional networking opportunities for young professionals in Muncie and Delaware County. MYPG seeks to enrich the quality of life for young people in our area.
MYPG is a group of goal-oriented and socially active young people who are building and strengthening the community of young professionals in Muncie and Delaware County. A 2008 survey targeted toward MYPG members indicated that 83% have a four-year degree or higher, 56% donated at least $250 to a charity in the past 6 months, 51% are board members and/or volunteers in a non-profit organization and 96% are registered voters. MYPG members are well educated, dedicated to the community, and are actively contributing to the betterment of Muncie and Delaware County.
Membership in MYPG is open to any self-defined young, professionally-minded individual living or working in or near Delaware County, Indiana, who has submitted his or her information to MYPG on paper or through the Web site, muncieypg.com. There is no cost to join and no attendance requirements. MYPG does not discriminate on the basis of race, nationality, creed, color, sex, age, religion, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation.
Examples of MYPG’s offerings to members include professional and personal development seminars on topics that matter to young professionals, social networking opportunities, civic and community events, group service projects and special interest groups.
MYPG is in its third year of existence and has continuously worked it raise its profile and credibility in Muncie and Delaware County. With a stable foundation and a talented leadership team with innovative plans for growth, MYPG is standing firm in its original mission and has plans in the coming year for expanded outreach and partnerships through a new, professionally designed website, creative marketing initiatives, and a program to recruit a team of mentors and advocates from the Muncie community to help promote and support the organization and to help it grow.

I’m a member of the Madison Future Young Professionals of Madison, IN and we just became aware or your website and organization recently. We are really impressed with the site and have many questions we’d like to ask your group. We started in 2009 and are working currently to help strengthen our Area Chamber of Commerce. The email I provided is new, but our website is not published yet, but will be in 2-3 weeks. I would love to recieve and newsletters if you send them out. Thank you for your time!
