Join MYPG members at the Fickle Peach, 117 E. Charles St. (Downtown Muncie) for a casual social mixer this Thursday, July 2nd. Mingle with other young professionals in a relaxed, friendly environment. The WindDown begins at 5:00 PM, and happens every first Thursday of each month.
After the WindDown, be sure to visit the fine galleries in Downtown Muncie for simultaneous opening ceremonies for this month’s art exhibits. The artists will be available to meet patrons, and most galleries offer food and entertainment. Free to the public, and free MITS trolley shuttle is provided between the galleries.

We are excited to announce the 2009 Next Leaders Summit (formerly called the “YP Summit”) will be in Cincinnati, OH, September 17-19, 2009.

Our 6th annual summit builds on our tradition of being the only forum in the world committed to developing the skills and capacity of our future leaders - and unleashing the power of the next generation to build better cities and workplaces.
LEAD is accepting applications for the next session and is pleased to offer a substantial discount to MYPG members. LEAD is an 8-part program designed with the mission of increasing and improving the leadership abilities of current and future community leaders. This could be you! The program dates are as follows:

On Friday, June 19, grab your blankets, lawn chairs, kids (if you have ‘em), and beverages of choice, and join us for Funcie Friday Summer Stage Fest at Minnetrista!
This is a fantastic outdoor local event featuring the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra. And it’s a picnic! MYPG will supply the sandwiches. You bring the snacks, side dishes, or desserts to share.
Parking is available at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
Funcie Friday is a regular casual social mixer held at various locations around Muncie.

The Muncie-Delaware County Government Reorganization Committee will hold four public forums in early June (detailed below). Committee members want to hear citizen comments, concerns and suggestions about the possible reorganization and modernization of city and county government in Muncie and Delaware County. Each forum will begin with a brief introduction to the committee and to its responsibilities under Indiana’s Government Modernization Act, but most of the time at each forum will be devoted to hearing citizen comments.
Forums have been scheduled at a variety of locations and times to encourage public participation; any interested citizen may attend and participate in any of the forums.
Committee members are: Eric Damian Kelly, Chair; Gary Addison, Vice Chair; Lee Ann Mengelt, Secretary; Denise Moore; Joe Rusell; Billie Sheppard; George Sheridan, Sr.; Alan Wilson.
